Hi there people myself and my missus are thinking about selling in uk and buying in Tenerife south we have lots to think about and lots to do but has anyone else done thid in the last 2year and any big issues they had thanks lewis.

We were planning on selling here with no mortgage left and buying a property out right over there we were both going to get something for work over there with 30 hrs each no more and enjoy life we are both 45 yrs old.

Buy out of resort if ypu drive then area not really a problem if not choose an area like Adeje, San Isidro, Chafiras, with good bus routes. Remember when you buy you have to pay tax on top of price. If you are not regulars or have many friends here then I would rent first in areas you fancy, just to get the feeling.

We have been 7 times to Tenerife and I will be buying a car so won't need buses we are not keen on the top end port and della as we went there for day trip in the jeep but we are not to sure where we would like to set up home thanks anyway it was nice to talk to you.

Ive been there done it,,, rent out your UK property, use money to rent a property in Tenerife, move around like TD says, check out if it's what you really want before you cut all ties with UK...

Ok I think we will go that route first, before we go and plunge, the problem is a bit of work we think as we speak a little but you no how it is.

Took me 15 years to decide. I would defoe try an area first, also that way you can really Suss out the best in property to suit.

Work was not part of our plan, and I only speak food and drink Spanish, you've gotta priorities...
Go for it, at least if you rent UK property that should more than pay to rent in Tenerife with a bit left over...
