I used to be into to bikes and set off anywhere 
but being mechanicly minded i took that many spares i had to push them up hills , then i found engines

We made all our own bikes as kids. Went to dumps and picked up odd frames, wheels etc. and mashed them all together. Only single gear then, easy peasy. Never usually bothered with brakes, just jammed our foot in between the front forks and the wheel!
