Well this ones only been on my list for about 2 months since I had a drive, albeit a fairly slow one, round the track at Snetterton on an MG meet there. But I have dug deep in the pocket and signed up for a track day there on Nov 23rd. I have no idea about what cars I will be up against but trust me I will not be last! Actually you must take some sort of sensible head with you cos if you spin out twice or get too aggressive they give you marching orders. Will be taking the black MG TF cos its much faster than the red one and as it only cost peanuts I dont care if I kill it. Guessing there wont be much rubber left on the tyres anyway! Or much fuel left from a tankful. Patsy has surprisingly agreed to come but I was a bit shocked to find an extra driver or indeed passenger cost £30 more. I will see if my daughter wants to come instead as shes a keen driver but shes away at the moment. Price includes drinks and snacks, professional tuition (STIG perhaps?) and tow back to the pits when you blow it up. Pretty sure this is gonna be the most fun you can possibly have with yer pants on and I will have an ear to ear grin on all day. I managed to get a 15% discount so its come in at £126. The tracks 3 miles long so at 30mpg (it would normally do about 45) should get about a hundred laps in.

Re: Bucket list.
Got to Snetterton yesterday 7.30am buzzing with anticipation, drove to pit area...... OMG, surrounded by Porsche, Lotus, Caterham 7s and other fast looking beasts. Eventually I spotted a Peugeot 205 and an Austin A35! Aha, I have something to race against then. Patsy came out with me for the 3 sighting laps which were supposed to be 50mph but were considerably faster although I could keep up OK. That was the last time Patsy got in the car! When it was time to get out there I let all the others go first so I could get a lap or 2 on my own. Had a couple of arse out moments (track still a bit dampish) but survived the day without spinning or running off the track even though I spent most of it looking in the mirrors and trying to keep out of others way. I never overtook anyone all day. Even the Peugeot and A35 had more than my 135bhp! Managed 90mph on the straights and the little MG TF took all the stick I through at it. Will I be back for more? Oh yes! Patsy was in charge of photos, she took 23 but sadly only 5 had cars in two of which were not even me.

Stig my arse. I'm still shaking now! Non star in a reasonably priced car. £217 to be precise.

Taken by professional at the track. Another 15 pages here [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
You can see what I was up against. Only £99 at Anglesey track but its a long way from Norfolk.
