That first hotel looks like the Comodoro. First place we stayed in Tenerife. Booked through Teletext. 
Think it had the original furniture as well as most of it was falling apart. We didnt care though.

Here's a photo from the 60s of Los Cristianos. The Casa de la Peña is there. (Building with arches) and can still be seen today, though I think it is due for demolition...(photo by Alberto Fabian)

Minty turning green then. Those volcanos turn up anywhere though, the odds are on his side.

Minty had/has a gaff on the lower slopes of Montana Guaza. (Los Cris side.) Can't remember if he sold it on or not.
