Minty stranded in the pub, theres a surprise. Young Freddie had flight booked from Stansted on Monday. Second of two with Jet2 that day from Stansted. Anyway I heard the news so was on Jet2 website at 6am and it says both flights canceled. Jeez. So I tell Freddie but he wants to go anyway cos he knows best lol. About 3pm I text him and he tells me they have installed him in a local hotel, I coached him to plead ignorant and play the game which he is good at, grabs himself a wheelchair etc, so thats worked pretty well. As far as I know he got a flight out on Tuesday. Funny thing was J2 flights from other airports were operating. On website it says 'Our priority is to bring stranded guests home'. Oh yeah? You sending empty planes then? Hmmm, either summink fishy going on or they couldnt organise a piss up at a wedding.
