I set off the alarm at my school reunion a few years back. caretaker had to be called. He lived 20 miles away

Angel pub (Dermo knows it), about a year back we go in to do Monday quiz, its cold so I ask barman if I can light open fire , he says OK as I've done it before, so I build fire, paper, small bits of wood, bigger bits of wood then coal, I light it, feck me way wind was blowing it was blowing smoke back down chimney,,, pub filled with dense smoke setting off fire alarm, barman is going mad at me, there was feck all I could do about it, just had to wait until fire got going and thermals took smoke up chimney, I often got a free pint for getting fire going, not that night...
