Some sad news tonight. Jack, son who is dustman, has a good mate called Damien and tonight we hear he has lost his Dad to the cronavirus. He was 60 and as far as I know in good health. Damien was round here the other day, they play playstation games for hours on end in his bedroom and smoke dope, and I told him to stay away not even knowing his Dad was ill, or even indeed if he knew. Jack saw his Dad about 3 weeks ago when he fixed his broken glasses frame. And there was me thinking I dont even know anybody who has been ill with it yet. Just goes to show its out there maybe closer than you think. Take care.

I'm the same Vince. I mean thinking I don't know anyone with the virus. We probably won't hear until someone dies of it...

Sorry to hear that Vince. Its everywhere. Even when the restricitions are eased, this is what is in store for us . Our gov here is telling us the facts, not of this bullshit " we are working very hard" etc etc. This is what the health minister said yesterday ""In relation to the roadmap, there is going to be a point in this country where we will have to live alongside the virus, for want of a better phrase, where sadly people will still get sick and sadly some people will still die but it is at a rate that is sustainable for our doctors to manage."

I'd say that's a pretty fair assessment Dermo...

I'd say we will have social distancing until everybody get vaccinated , another 12 -18 months.

Re: Jacks friend loses Dad.
Turns out he went to Hospital with Diabetes problems and contracted it there. Village population reduced to 599 then. There is a new house being built just up the road, one third of roof rafters up and then work halted. Looks very weird, a sign of the times indeed.
