Seeing the above smilie in a recent post reminded me of an incident some years back.
A lad I worked with, Andy, arrived in at work one morning, both his lips were blood red as if he had cold sores all over them, the question was obviously asked what had happened.
Andy explained that he and his wife had been out to the local pub, they lived out in the country and the pub was about four miles away, being a freezing cold night the decided to take the car and run the risk of being caught for drink driving, this practice was not uncommon in the area where they lived being so remote.
Returning to the car at the end of the night it was covered in frost, Andy could not get in to the car as the lock had frozen, in an attempt to de-frost the lock he bent over and started breathing heavily on it, having a bit of a drink in him he swayed slightly towards the car, the second his lips touched the car he was stuck to it, in an attempt to free himself he licked his lips, but the more he licked, the more he froze to the car.
His wife waiting to get in the passenger side, unaware as to his situation started calling out “aw come on Andy I’m bloody freezing”, Andy in frustration decided to free himself, in a swift movement he ripped himself free from the car, his explanation of the pain, there not enough asterisks on my key board to even start describing !!!
To this day I still wonder where the cops would have stuck the breathalyzer if they had turned up on the scene !!!
