Last Saturday one of my daughters dogs went missing. Got spooked by fireworks, ran off down the road and got run over but ran off again. Its a dopey brindle Staffie cross but its got 4 white feet hence its name, Socks. Silly thing is frightened of its own shadow and all people, even me, cant get near it. Anyway messages were put on Facebook and on Thursday a local farmer saw it in a ditch but of course it ran off again. However he recognised it as the missing dog, messaged my daughter and she eventually caught it. Badly damaged foot so took her straight down the vets where it has been kept racking up a nice big bill I suspect. So all is well thanks to Facebook and the many people who have been looking out for her.

Funny that Vincent Sons partner has a Ginger Cat that takes off for days on end, one shout on face book and he is returned, he is always in a student house being spoiled which is why he takes off probably

Neighbour put Cat Nav on Harry the cat ( Brian Densons cousin) to see where he went, Down the railway embankment to a house on the other side for about 6 weeks at a time then came back like nothing had happened, he took it off then because it was expensive to lose, still takes off

Re: Lost socks found at last!
Got a friend who has got two cats, house door has a cat flap, but often rather than being two cats in house there is often six eating from cat food dishes,,, so he installs a electronic cat flap, his cats have a sensor on collar that allows flap to open for them,,, but he's still having umpteen strange cats in house,,, so one day he sits and watches what's going on,,, his cat comes to flap, flap unlocks for it but strange cat just follows it closely behind not allowing flap to shut,,,
