Hundreds in Ireland were doing this and prepared to take the hit of 500 fine if necessary. Its actually going up to 2500. So the guards are now taking the details of each person with a dental appointment and issuing them with a summons of sort , to produce the receipt for the dental work ( itemised) upon return or they will prosecute where the minimum fine is 10K.
