Having been to Casablanca and found it a pretty boring sort of city, despite checking out several of the 8 or 9 Ricks cafes. I thought I would give this afternoons film a whirl to see what all the spin is about. Guess what I am finding that rubbish too. Voices out of sync, wooden actors, bloody awful plot. Is it just me, am I missing something that makes this film one of the 'greats'.

Nostalgia-tinted glasses Gypsy. Most of those old films are dated and wouldn't hold the attention of today's youth for a nano-second!

It's refreshing to read that you're now watching "talkies" Sis.
Suppose you get pissed off with all the old Keystone Cops and Charlie Chaplin stuff eh ?
