This really shocked me.

I know a few of you use Trip Advisor but has anyone been following this thread. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I have watched it with horror at some of the allegations that have been made, but today I was totally gob smacked that one of the people that is being slated as running the villa scam is Ben Webster-Hicks. I and many Tenerife residents have known Ben for a lot of years. He is the nicest guy you could possibly wish to meet and returned to the UK possibly 18 months ago following the loss of his partner.

There have been messages on the above thread about people leaving their wives for women and then having affairs with other women unbeknown to the new woman in their lives etc. etc. Ben is gay, there is no way he would be involved with these people and I didn't know he was the one being discussed until a few minutes ago. I hope he can prove he is not involved and get the person causing all the trouble to take down the rest of their posts.

That's good LR, but I wonder how many like me saw the posts before they were retracted and how many who don´t know Ben will think no smoke without fire.... IMO the whole thread should be removed. Do you and Mermaid know him? He is a really lovely guy and I just hope his run of rotten luck changes this year.

Yes I met Ben,very nice guy. I hope it can all be resolved in the end.

I believe we have met Ben Gypsy, it rings a bell, Gay chap named Ben, can't be many around in Tenerife, think about 4 years ago, will ask Jan. If I remember okay geezer.

There's another post on there (at least at the moment) of course the name CAMPBELL keeps coming up. I think that must be pure coincidence LR but what sort of a person puts threat like I'll be seeing you when these people go to work on you - on an open forum. Disgusting.

i met ben on several occasions at ojangles, seemed a sound enough bloke to me,some of his stories on the old forum were hilarious. so glad to read the retraction.
