Forum skins/colour
Is there any setting anywhere that allows us to choose the skin/colour of the forum ?

Re: Forum skins/colour
Of course, you offer your body to Mermaid if it reaches her high standards in return she has a word in LRs shell like and he will change the colour
It is a bit bright for early mornings, I think personally I would like it a bit more subtle.

Re: Forum skins/colour
There is,but all the "Buttons", "Topic Icons", "Category Icons", "Forum Main Pic", "Logos" "Mod Buttons" etc. have all been linked to images now on my photobucket. The original forumotion skin was crap, most of the clickable stuff was text (like "View posts since last visit"). I have replaced all those with visible image buttons. (The "View posts..." lines are un-modifyable).
I also designed the "Palmtree logo" and "Palmtree favicon". I think it looks un-cluttered, not too busy and most of all, not the same as the other forums.
You must have seen me playing with the colours this morning, I'm always tinkering just trying to get things looking right.
If we went back to a normal skin, the "Ranks" would disappear, the "Warning bars" would disappear, the"Nationality flag" would go, "Rep" counter etc etc. These have all been added by me over the months so I'm not too keen to go back to an original skin and start again from scratch.

Nooo! we want all of that stuff, just a slightly less in your face coloured background as it is a bugger having to wear sunglasses indoors.

Re: Forum skins/colour
Right, I'm going off shopping now, so leave some suggestions for the color you'd like and I'll look at them when I get back. Remember though that the "Buttons" were all picked to go with the backgrounds and the colour in them is fixed!

Do you want to explain in which of my posts I/we have "bashed Cam " ?
If you like the colour scheme then fair enough, but I did not criticise the colour scheme or Cam . I just asked a simple question on a feature that is available on a lot of forum boards.
It wasn't till other mentioned the scheme that I made a comment.

Re: Forum skins/colour
Think you may have got the wrong end of the stick here Betty. I think Reg was commenting on the fact that I (and others) were suggesting ridiculous colours e.g. Brighton pink or Mankini green and wasn't a comment directed against you personnally. You have to realise most comments posted here would be done with some kind of "wind-up" involved!

Re: Forum skins/colour
I was just experimenting this morning, and yes, the green was a bit much. I've toned it down to a really light duck-shell blue 'cos pure white is just a bit too stark. (Where the hell is the pink about?)betty swollocks wrote:swap the pink and green for white, even less cluttered then.
Correct. See above.betty swollocks wrote:

Take it easy guys, nobody died! I actually enjoy faffing about in the background.

Never touched the rep. counter Cru.(I can't change it anyway). If someone thanks a post of his he gets 3 points (and the post will change colour). You get 1 point if someone clicks the "Thumbs -up" button.
