Re: Brighton Rock
It is a bit of farce as it is mostly in Eastbourne. Won't see me I was in the a Gay bar when they filmed it, safest place all the poofs were out trying to get noticed.(Joking, not homophobic)

Great DVDs. Get all three of them: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and Return of the King. They make up "The Lord Of The Rings". They're about 3 hours each and the sfx are amazing. Brilliant films. The Hobbit comes out in the cinemas this Christmas. It's the prequel to all the others.

I love the guy who sang the end theme. Richard Hawley: There's a storm a coming.

Re: Brighton Rock
Watched Brighton Rock a couple of weeks ago, it was OK, nowhere near as good as the original, and nothing like the book.
Hate Lord of the Rings etc etc and couldn´t read the books either found them really hard going. OH likes them so perhaps its a man thing. All those big hairy feet put me off :move1:

I've tried a few times to read the Silmarillion, but I can't do it, far too heavy and involved for me.

I've read The Lord of the Rings 3 times Kev. It's such an epic book, you find something you'd missed the previous times. I used to think that could be my specialist subject on Mastermind, 'til someone actually chose it and got hammered!

Gollum. He actually strangled his cousin Deagol to steal the ring from him, justifying the action because it was his birthday, so believing Deagol should actually have given the ring to Smeagol as a birthday present.

Used to hate that journey once it went past Redhills. Don't know why cos I loved London. Must be a country boy at heart.

Re: Brighton Rock
Bassas. Had a look on Amazon.com. They are charging 15.99 dollars. ( We have to use Amazon.com over here for Kindle stuff. Won't allow us to access Amazon.co.uk when they see an Irish IP address. Discrimination innit )
