On a sensible note now, I have an on-line Bank Account (Cahoot) but can only pay in Pounds Sterling. Can pay in cash at Post Office too. Does anyone know of one similar I could get as a Euro Account? Does an Irish Bank do one?

You are right Mince.

It makes no sense to me. When the Euro came out it was worth about the same as $1US. Now it costs $1.35 to buy one Euro. Cant remember reading about any US States being bailed out with billions of dollars. Just crazy.

It makes it very hard for other countries to trade with eurozone ones, which is stupid.

Pound was dropping daily while I was out there, and the fags are going up by the day too. Cant see it doing much for the tourist industry in Tenerife. Makes the one euro pints on Funchal strip more expensive too, 90p now.......
