Birthplaces of TFoF members.
Was just wondering where members were born. I was born in Walthamstow, London and grew up in Highams Park, Chingford, 200m from Epping Forest where I seem to remember spending most of my childhood free as a bird. I dont recognise the place now its just full of foreigners and now live 100 odd miles north. Nearest I get is the dreaded M25. Last time I was in Tenerife I met someone who was born in exactly the same hospital as me but moved to Liverpool when he was 5 and consequently had a scouse accent. I guess Reg hasn't moved too far but how about you others?

I'm in the same town, Dunfermline, where I was born 56 years ago. It's where I call home. I've been all over the place in the army, but I always come back here.

I was born in grandma's house 2 streets away. I met my now wife who lived opposite Mum and Dad when back living with them for 6 weeks when my Brighton flat was sold. The Lone Ranger wrote:I'm in the same town, Dunfermline, where I was born 56 years ago. I have also lived in Brighton, Hove and Cornwall. I did spend a lot of time Cam's way in the navy at Rosythe.
Also used to spend most summers as a kid in Elm Park, Hornchurch, North London. Dad was very good friends with the then not famous Mike Reid. We used to stay with some friends and Mike was a relative, great bloke and Mum had some brill pics of him as a younger guy.

Smallish World. My Patsy used to play with Mike Reids daughter Angela when they were kids. He was living in Wanstead at the time.

I was born in the wagon of a travellin' show

Re: Birthplaces of TFoF members.
So you may have known Sally and Ernie who were Dads friends and their kids (little sods) Mark Richard and Lee as they were all around Mick's house.Perfectspecimen wrote:Smallish World. My Patsy used to play with Mike Reids daughter Angela when they were kids. He was living in Wanstead at the time.
They used to all go rabbitting down the shoot, with Mick's ferrets.

Probably did, as I got out in '76. (No more pack drill!) So I was back home then.

A right she may have known them though, it would have been about 38 to 44 years ago, continuous that I would have been there.Perfectspecimen wrote:No Kev. Patsy is my partner, so it was about 40 years ago. I didnt know her until she was 16.
