Did anyone watch the programme last night (cant remember which channel) on the British Consulate in Barcelona and Tenerife. Quite good but I did think the majority of the people visiting the Tenerife office (that's my bank they use but I didn´t see my boys Jamie and Mark) ... sorry OT I thought the people using the service looked pretty dodgy.

Anyway if you saw it what are your thoughts on the genuine ones that have been robbed of all their money needing to pay €113 to get an emergency (1 journey only) passport. I felt sorry for the drunken layabout that actually had money in the UK, got his bank to send it by Western Union only to be told you need to pay for the passport first so you have ID to get the money........ Catch 22

I saw it, channel 4 it was. Eye opening. Luckily I know peeps in Tenerife who would lend me money if it happened to me out there. I was robbed in Calella on Costa Brava donkeys years ago, luckily just a wallet and we had a tank full of diesel but nobody would give us money for a phone call or nowt. We ended up going to the Embassy in Barcelona and they let us ring my daughter to send money via Western Union. It happened on my little lads birthday too. Sorry Freddie, birthday is cancelled son. Welcome to life.
