Aussie Rules Star Dies Empty Aussie Rules Star Dies

    Post by 3rdforum Tue 20 Mar 2012 - 16:06

Don't know if any of you follow Aussie Rules, but Jim Stynes has died. I saw a documentary on him last year. Amazing man that conducted himself with great dignity and selflessness in the face of an insurmountable battle with cancer. The fact that he died from brain cancer ( same as my brother ) makes it especially poignant for me. RIP Jim Stynes.

Don´t know anything about Aussie Rules or the guy mentioned, but I do feel for his family, he was so young and what a terrible way to go. RIP

It's the people left behind I feel for, they know it's coming but that doesn't make it any easier. Poor feckers, their world is upside down.

This is the documentary shown a couple of years ago about Jim Stynes. If
ever again I'm in need of inspiration, I'll look at this. Gut
wrenching, heart warming, lump in your throat stuff. Kinda makes me
wonder if my brother went through the same in his final days . Only
difference was, he didn't tell anyone he was terminal.

I have just watched the whole of that D and It was emotional but uplifting. There were moments I cringed at( the drink one and the coffee bit.
He was such a amazing man.
