    OK, let’s assume the space station was hit by a piece of junk and the astronauts are safe in their escape capsules, what happens then?

    No space shuttles now, is there a rescue rocket sitting somewhere just waiting to rescue them, are the escape capsules capable of return to earth???

    And before some smart ass says it, Thunderbirds / International Rescue aint real, I’m not stupid, I could see the strings...

    But you can't see the lifelines the Astronauts have, tied to Earth so they can reel themselves down.

    The astronauts are issued with Lynx deodorant tins, they give them a wee squirt every now and then to get back to earth, where there are millions of half-naked women waiting on them...
