Full Monty Closes today.....

I have just posted this on TA. What I didn´t say was it was one of the first bars we went in when we came here and our eldest daughter was with us. Her comment - Full of Inbreds .... and I've not been in since.


In the last hour, Jamie Drew, the compère of the Full Monty in the Patch has confirmed that it is closing. It would seem that it has taken everyone, including the staff by surprise. The end of an era. 8(

It's a bar I have never been in so I really can't say if it was good or bad...

Great film though, When they was on top of that car in the canal, And somebody walked past - "Alright?" i not bad

I'm just telling Mermaid I haven't seen that film either. She's seen it! Bloody male strippers, I ask you...

Its well funny Cam, Made on the cheap too, Some great lines in it, Some fat bloke trying to lose weight wraps himself in cling film in the shed, Gets bored and eats a Mars Bar

Late one night in October, brother off home, staying in La Siesta, we went in for a drink, absolute close this shit hole down someone.

Not too good then, Glad i dont bother with all that, Seems a costly pastime and lots of grief, I shall stick with the bottle water,

what the Full Monty or La Siesta, IMO both pretty grim one full of chavs the other full of people waiting to die.

La Siesta was where Brother was staying we were at Reginald's.

I think it is a nice hotel in a great location but when we have gone in to watch the entertainment it has been row upon row of old folk just staring into space waiting for something to happen. Still better than kids chasing around like idiots and parents ignoring them.

To be honest the entire Patch has seen better times, all very tired now.
That's the Central Station, Blaydon Races now Full Monty gone and the very popular Brewers Droop was never the same after the bingo carry on.

Had a few pints & games of pool in the busy Finnish bar (underneath the Blaydon Races) in December was the only busy bar, very friendly people.

We stayed in La Siesta, saw the entertainment for 10 mins and crap. Room was lovely, spar great and fodda at Breakfast good. Rip off for booze.
