Fabulous pictures, I am currently reading Shadows of the Workhouse and it is unbelievable to think what went on even in the 1930s, 40s and even the 50s. Although it is a novel it is based on actual events and at times I have to put it down because the cruelty to children and the poor in general is heartbreaking.
