Booked it throgh Virgin Atlantic.
It was about £1200 for 1 week in Havana and a week in the jail that was the AI Varadero.
We took the lower price range because it was only a 3star hotel,The Ambos Mundos, but when we go for May day I think we will book into The Parque Central right in the heart of old Havana.
Of course you can get it a lot cheaper if you choose to stay in a casa...I might even do that if the price is very cheap.
The Cuban solidarity group do packages also which can be cheap...I'll get their link and post it up.
Get out for May day Dermo,a Gaillimh and An Dun flag in the parade would look sweet.

I'd be very interested in that Cuban Solidarity link CC. ( And it would be a Ros Comain & An Dun flag. I live in Galway but originally from Roscommon)

You just travelled over half the globe there in that quote
My mate done the Machu Pichu trail in Peru for charity...he loved it.
Me and him are actually talking about Venezuela...nothing concrete just checking things out.
Vietnam is another country that I will go to eventually...hopefully.
Another thing,If you ever do go to Cuba don't go to Varadero...pick Havana and Santiago de Cuba or Trinidad...you will get the proper feel of Cuba in them places, not like that hell hole Varadero.
