    Double Bubble – Two Quakes Hit North Tenerife







    May 16th 2012



    Two earthquakes just three minutes apart were felt by residents in Candelaria in Tenerife and Agaete and Gáldar in Gran Canaria yesterday.

    The National Geographic Institute reported the two earthquakes
    occurred on the fault that runs between Gran Canaria and Tenerife.

    The first quake of 3.3 magnitude on the Richter scale, occurred at
    17.31 pm and was centred about 33 km. Then at 17.34 pm the second quake
    of 2.6 magnitude on the Richter scale, occurred about 26km under water.

    Think you will find they are relatively normal - there is a fault line that runs between the islands, bit like San Francisco 2 quakes hit the north 3025408739

    I did know that but thought It was news and it helps to post to increase my count 2 quakes hit the north 1293356558
