Double Bubble – Two Quakes Hit North Tenerife

Two earthquakes just three minutes apart were felt by residents in Candelaria in Tenerife and Agaete and Gáldar in Gran Canaria yesterday.
The National Geographic Institute reported the two earthquakes
occurred on the fault that runs between Gran Canaria and Tenerife.
The first quake of 3.3 magnitude on the Richter scale, occurred at
17.31 pm and was centred about 33 km. Then at 17.34 pm the second quake
of 2.6 magnitude on the Richter scale, occurred about 26km under water.
