Fuerteventura
Has anyone been to Feurteventura before? We're going next year ( not back to Tenerife, long story) and are wondering what's it like. We will be staying in Calete de Fuste. I've tried looking on the Fuerteventura forum but frankly, it's crap. Any input (constructive) would be appreciated!

All I know is its the nearest one to Africa, probably lots of boatloads of illegals, probably more calimas.

Someone nice will come along now I'm sure
I have only been to Lanzarote. My son has been to the other one (don't know how to spell it) he went surfing there and said apart from that it was dead boring. Sorry I cannot be more helpful

Re: Fuerteventura
It is years since I was there but went twice as it was winter and warm. Stayed in Corralejo which is the busiest place around. There was only 1 street at the time but probably grown since I was there about 12 years ago. There were lots of naked bodies around if you are into that but they were all old, fat and German so did nothing for me.
Caleta de Fuste - Just a little south of the island's airport. Other than the old fort that still stands here, the remainder of the resort is purpose built for tourism and on the outskirts, lots more building work going on as Caleta de Fuste rapidly expands. Almost completed is the islands only 18-hole golf course. There is an open-air museum to visit that consists of salt works and lime-burning kilns. Plenty of bars and restaurants, good nightlife, excellent water sports, a harbour make this an ideal holiday destination.

Sounds great, plenty sand (calima), fresh food (locusts), locals selling their wares(lookie men) and ugly fat naked Germans..........Go,no need for a holiday slim guaranteed to be fittest bod there.

Re: Fuerteventura
Seems just the kind of holiday you can spend the whole year dreaming about and looking forward too.
