On the borders Toll booths are being built and will be ready to open by AUG 1st. According to those who live in the Ayamonte area they thought this might go away, but it looks like its here to stay. When asked is there an alternative route - answer was - The Ferry...

Whose toll booths are they? Spanish or Portuguese? Who gets the money? Do they charge you both ways? (Spain>Portugal & Portugal>Spain).
Greedy fecks. Everyone should just stay on their side of the border...

My daughter has properties in Monte Gordo, just inside Portugal. I have been there it is very nice, specially the Super Boc (local beer). A bit too hot in summer though but nice and sunny in winter. Son in law wont be happy, he buys baccy on the Spanish side!
