Pete went down to the vet this morning and she did not recognise him at all, just stared ahead. He told the vet he did not want her to suffer any more as the pills were not preventing the fits. He had her put down. They wanted €90 to dispose of the remains so he has gone to dig a hole.....

Re: RIP Miss Mouse
I'm sure digging the hole will help with the way he is feeling right now
I forgot to remind him it has'nt rained here this year and the ground may be rather hard
Yes she had a good innings Vince, was about 11 years old and Pete was ever so good to her....

Bloody hard to have a dog put to sleep and even harder to bury them yourself. Sad time......thinking of you.

Re: RIP Miss Mouse
Thankyou everyone. It took Pete about 2 hours to dig that hole as the ground was so hard. We went out last night for a few dwinks to take his mind off it. This morning he is having a lie in but missing getting up to take her for a walk. It will take some getting used to but he does have his feral cats to go and feed morning and night....
