I like them as well but they will only grow up in the mountains, we are too close to the coast for them. I have pinched seeds a couple of times but they just wont take.

I've never been there yet. Must make an effort next time. I want to see the Guanches on the promenade and of course the church of the Virgin.

I've never been down to Garachico. I've seen it 3 times from the mirador on the top road next to the leather shop.

The road runs close to Santa Cruz and Playa de las Teresitas It twists an turns all the way but some of the views are magnificent.

I was behind a dustcart on that road and it just went for it. Jan said what if something comes the other way, I said he dumps the whole friggin cart on our bonnet.

We look forward to our bit of snow at Christmas but it is nice looking up at it rather than being in the middle of it. As you know Teide at over 12,000 ft and is the 3rd highest volcano in the world. (I already knew that). Because of its height it also makes Tenerife the 10th highest island worldwide. (That bit came from Google!!) :sulk2:
