I guess there's bound to be casualties in this economic meltdown.
Cash deposits have been decreasing since the government applied pressure to the Financial businesses in the CI.
I know a couple of people who are jittery at the moment because their wealth is stacked up in Jersey and are having many sleepless nights because the Depositors Compensation Scheme only entitles clients to a limit of £50,000.
For a depositor with several million deposited, it's laughable really. Of course, not all institutions are covered by the scheme.
Fortunately for the bankers of the world, there are still people with money but without the confidence to manage it themselves. I have often wondered how people can be smart enough to acquire substantial assets but stupid enough to hand them over to bankers to manage.

I reward my Wealth Manager by his performance and results.
If he loses my money, I don't pay his fees. If he makes me money, I'll happily pay them.
