Neither the persistent rain, much less the threat hanging over their lifestyle in the neighbourhood of La Laguna could put a dampener on yesterday’s festival of Los Baldíos, one of the most traditional romerias. There were floats, tractors, and bands all watered by good wine, pork and a paella for those who attended.

(Does anyone think some of the instruments may be homemade!)
