Windmills love them or loathe them ?

Well should have said wind turbines love them or loathe them ?.
I know there a feature on most Canary Islands and all the country now but what's your view of them (excuse the pun).
Reason I ask is here in Blyth we have just had the largest in Europe errected on the pier:

Old ones can be seen on the right and the ones furtheest right is out at sea and was the laregst in UK until last week's arrival.

Apparently its higher than Big Ben, we have 7 on the peir, but they are being replaced by 2 massive ones, Blyth has a state of the art testing facility on the site of the old WW2 submarine docks it's big business now and it has literally changed the face of Blyth the testing facility is enormous.

I know there hugley unpopular in certain areas but personally think why not use the weather to benefit us.

They dominate the skyline and can be seen for miles & miles, this is the view as youturn out off our cul de sac:

I've always thought that they looked fine though any place I've seen them until recently has been in isolated areas i.e. on top of hills etc. They built a huge one recently in the town in Kerry where my dad's house is and it totally dominates the view as you approach. I wouldn't like them so close to town or if they detract from a particularly nice view.

I'l sit on the fence, We have them about 30 miles away so dont really bother me, But as you leave our cul de sac there is a giant green building, The new cricket ground stand, Thats really over powering, But Leeds University is in shares with it, So planning permission is just paper work, Sooner or later we will mess up everwhere,

I find the wind farms ok,so long as they are in remote areas. The odd one or two nearer to town is also ok but I would not like my view obstructed by them.

Loads round my way, the locals dont like them but I do, mainly just to annoy them.

I would imagine H and Vince coming out of Yelas after a skinful is pretty windy.

I find them aesthetically pleasing but wouldn't like to be too close to any because of the noise.
