If you have copied them off the old skin Adam, the font on that was black on a white background, which is why you can't see it on our dark background. Any new stuff you do from now should show OK.

Other question, when viewing forum there is a two inch gap either side of forum page on my screen, should that be the case ?

Yep. Meant to be like that pal. I actually had to reduce some of the picture sizes to fit. Most notably the Beau Peep strip cartoons, as they were bleeding over into the side columns. (It's all feckin' go on here mate!
).

I tend to type my posts on a “Word” document then copy and paste in to reply box, I started doing this as some posts don’t go and it saves having to type reply up again. The wording that shows on one post and not the other was a copy from same “Word” document ?

Well that means you're going to have a black font on a dark background. If you type in the reply box on here it looks like black font but the forum changes it automatically, whereas yours won't be recognised by the forum if it's cut and pasted. The forum will just think it's an image. (If you see what I mean).
I don't know why one showed and one didn't though. I still suggest you download Firefox and use it for this forum, you can always keep your internet explorer and use it for everything else you do. TF has loads of probs with Internet Explorer too.
