Since I gave regular visitors avatars to make them feel welcome, I have noticed that mojito has signed in every day and not said whether they like theirs or not. In the words of Lewis Carroll "There was silence supreme! Not a shriek, not a scream ......"

Ah, don't worry about it Gypsy. People will post if they feel like posting. There's no obligation to do so. Look at TF, it has 22,000 members supposedly, but only 2 or 3 dozen post regularly. Most people who join are after an answer to a specific question, and once they have it they're gone and you never hear from them again. Others may join just to see what the forum looks like then decide it isn't for them, so don't make any posts at all. So be it. I won't lose any sleep over it anyway.

Give them really ugly ones,then they may chirp in to change it, But its no big deal is it, Imagine a crowded room or a meeting, Thier's only a few jabbering, most like to listen but dont say anything, Lurkers are better than nothing, bit like an audience, Could be worse like talking to your self, ,

I'm not worried guys, I just think if you look in every day and see you have been given something it is only good manners to say thank you - but then I'm old school. I also like to eat at a table, dress for dinner if I'm going out and say "excuse me" if I accidentally bump into someone.

It is bad manners if they have seen it and not thanked you. I know they have been on but even just signing in they will only see it if they post or see your post,maybe they don't read all the posts.
