Love my porridge and love to experiment with it for example ,make your porridge in the normal way then put it into an oven proof [gratin] dish and sprinkle generously with brown sugar ,pop it under a hot grill and brown the top just as you would a brulee until it is lovely and crunchy , another favourite of mine is when you have made the porridge add a little cinnamon, white chocolate buttons and a few sultanas, but there is no end to the combinations you can have just use what you fancy, going to try chilli and dark chocolate one day

I love porridge but made really thick cooked in water with lots of salt and just a spoonful of evaporated milk.

    World porridge championships. Porridge

If I am going to have it sweet I don´t cook the porridge oats but add brown sugar and lots of dried fruit and nuts (I suppose that is muesli)

Well, it's been won by an ex-pat from Germany!BBC Scotland. He is now the proud owner of this year's "Golden Spurtle" award.
