I have never used one but there is a thread going at the moment on Tripadvisor HERE that says it is a scam, although the majority of those who have answered seem to think it is great.

Mmmm...it's just one guy from Sweden claiming its a scam. Everyone else seems to like it. Bananaman ( from Green Banana Guide?), is asking him to put his money where his mouth is, but no reply from OP as yet.

I have a gold green banana card and think I gave McQueen my spare one. It gets 10% off in some very good places including Slow Boat in Colon.
We also use ours in Verdes, St Euginio and in The Restaurant up above Gran Paella.

How can it be a scam?? You get a card for free, you take it to a restaurant etc, show them when you get your bill, get discount.............. DOH! Not rocket science!!!
