On this new forum layout its very difficult to notice when you have a private message. On the old one it stood out boldly in RED.

Go into "Profile" then click on "Preferences". Tick the buttons for "Display a pop up window for private messages" or "Notify by e-mail when new message arrives in my inbox". Remember to "Save" it at the bottom. Make sure your anti-virus software allows pop-ups for this forum.
Edit: Plus your message button will change to "New message". I can't make it change colour as the guy who designed this skin hasn't set any images for the navbar buttons for me to alter.

Its already ticked to on Cam, and lifes too short to faff about with my software.

Vince, I've sent in a request to the Forumotion tech guys to see if there is any way to change the colour of the button when a new PM arrives. I'll let you know when I know.

Cos I'm 4th in the top posters list innit. I dont even figure in the top thread poster list though. I will have to think up more stuff to moan about.

Just noticed the message button goes a bit orange when I have a message.

Right Vince, we have a new colour though it's not very bright. When you hover your mouse over any of the nav bar buttons they go a bright greenish colour. That will be what happens to your "message" button when you get a new PM message. It's a bit more noticeable than the slight orange hue that was on before.

Something that had been bugging me ever since I put this new skin on, the "Index" button was always showing green, like this...


I've played about with it and managed to get them all looking the same now.
