I didn´t know this Illegal not to get an ATOL cert probably because I generally book each part of my holidays separately but it makes interesting reading for those who use Travel Agents and Tour Operators.

When Globespan airlines went bust we had to download an online claim form. It took a while but we got our money back, but I think that was because that airline was ABTA bonded. We re-booked with Ryanair and got it even cheaper! Result!

Everyone want to save money during travel and I think travel agents have some cheap deals but make sure they are professional. When I want to travel, first I check online deals than contact travel agent, if he has some concession then hire him.
