No punters I guess, perhaps we could start an airline, Funair. No seats just stools and a bar. And a urinal so we dont have to piss on the toilet seat cos we cant stand up straight over the bog.

Another 51% of flights cancelled today. A company spokesman, acknowledged there were serious problems but put the blame squarely onto government which, he said, had withheld 12 million euros due to the airline in payment for the 50 per cent residents travel subsidy.

Ah, so there we have it. Residents subsidy is being cut then, and drastically it seems. It was always going to be an easy way to save a lot of money by stopping/cutting that.

It would seem that the airline have ceased trading. As the president of the Spanish Federation of Travel Agents (CEAV), Rafael Gallego, said regarding the temporary cessation of Islas Airways that "for any market is not good that there is a single operator,"

    -----------------

Comments from BinterCanarias - there will be no price increase in tickets after the cessation of activity Isla Airways since the airline market and tariffs are regulated. Here

Hmmm, I wonder what the odds are on the regulator increasing prices in the new year.
