Summerland Pool Bar Empty Summerland Pool Bar

    Post by sgd Tue 16 Oct 2012 - 20:48

Just to let you know that Chris Green who has been one of the Chefs at Porkies Bar in the Apolo Centre had agreed to take the Bar over fro 01st October however the owners pulled out at the very last minute.

Not to be knocked down Chris and his Partner Adam are now taking over the Pool Bar at Summerland from 9am in the morning!

They are open to the Public and will be offering breakfasts, snacks and an exciting new evening menu. Apparently there are two Pool Tables,
Darts, Wii plus A large Cinema Screen and 2 plasma tvs for your sports
    programs and reality TV events!

I think this will be one to watch and we will certainly be eating there very soon!

Not heard of it S, so could you give us some directions on where to find it, and is there parking.

Cruella and I do a ladies wot lunch (doing one tomorrow as it happens - at the moment think Las Galletas) and we love to find new places. We would be happy to support the bar on our next outing and if the food is good I will certainly give it a write up.

Think it's the opposite side of road to the Aguamar Gypsy. Just uphill from the Funchal strip. See Here

Thanks LR, just changed it to street view, and saw Yelas, what is the name of the bar next to Hoops - looks like Smeleys !!!

Does that mean Porkeys no longer belongs to ****** Quinn?

I've just taken Doreen's name of our censor doodah, it's silly having that there. I know that Doreen Quinn was trying to sell her place for a while but I don't know if she managed to do it.

Sorry, was away from the PC for a while. Yes, LR that is the place. The food Chris prepared at Porkies was always very good, so I am sure that the menu at the new place will be as good or even better :)

(I believe the Quinns still own Porkies and it was them that pulled the deal at the last minute!)
