Hmmm...the rich will snap them up and get richer still by doing them up and renting them out or re-selling them. Not much chance for the wee fella if it's an auction. Big fella will outbid every time...

Not always Cam as they have a fixed profit they want to make and a property may well take them over budget but still be a bargain for the guy that wants one for residence. Property sells for 40k at auction, do up for 10k then sell for 70k gives Mr. Rich 20k profit. Mr. Notsorich, bids 50k at auction and spends 14k on doing it up(he don't get such a good deal on materials) property still worth 70k but he has got it 6k cheaper than if Mr. Rich had sold it to him.
I know what you mean, but they won't risk a lower profit, unless there is another reason, ie they own house next door.
In Uk it is fashionable to buy house next door, pull both down and put a small complex on the land, like 2 houses and 4 flats in a block.

Quite a few on Green Park owned by banks. Of course they aren't paying the community charge on them either. Sell em to the Ruskies then.

Just been looking at the Bankiahabitat tenerife auction site and there is a Green Park property on there at €42k. #209 would be on 2nd floor. Cheap for a 1 bed. Some buggers robbed the furniture though. Bag a Bargain Property 3275847336 Must have been better than mine!
