Anyone for Bridge? Empty Anyone for Bridge?

THE Tuesday Bridge Club meet, as you would expect, every Tuesday, at the Rendezvous Restaurant, Winter Gardens, Golf del Sur and they are looking for players.

The like-minded group arrive by 1.45pm ready to begin play at 2pm, usually the game finishes at approximately 5pm

The Tuesday club was set up a number of years ago by Sheila Smith and Susan Sayers, who brought all their bridge related items from the UK

If you become a member then there is a 10 euro, one off joining fee and then 4 euros to play. If you are a visitor then it’s 5 euros to play each week.

So if you normally play bridge at home and would like a game here, then contact them.

Bridge, is a trick-taking game using a standard 52-card deck. It is played by four players in two competing partnerships, with partners sitting opposite each other around a table. Millions of people play bridge worldwide in clubs, tournaments, online and with friends at home, making it one of the world’s most popular card games.

Winter Gardens has a nice bowling green as well. Bowls are a little heavy for the hand luggage though but the mat will come in handy for sitting on those uncomfortable airline seats.

I have played bowls (not very well) hence I go to Happy Days in Costa del Silencio where normal people go and make allowances for learners rather than the snooty ones who look down their nose at you that use the Winter Garden obviously they were born with bowls in their hand :sulk2:

I'm not old enough to play yet, or that golf malarky. Its nice to watch athletic young girls playing with balls though. Howard likes to watch Rugby but the least said the better, you know, toffs game and that.......
