Several neighbors found downtown on Tuesday night a stray dog in the street of Los Molinos, near the Avenida San Sebastian. The animal, which showed signs of abuse, was trapped inside a suitcase that was in turn thrown into a dumpster. Minutes before the truck passed through the street Urbaser passersby heard the groans of this specimen, a female cross between pitbull and stanford.
Bitch, trying to breathe, had bitten one side of the packaging. Neighbors immediately called 112 which mobilized several volunteer corps troops Civil Protection of the City of Santa Cruz. With a knife, cut off part of the suitcase so she could breathe more comfortably. Little by little, being careful not to hurt the animal nor put them in danger, completely managed to break the bag and get the dog.
Wounds
The impact was greater then for all present. The dog had bitten symptoms caused by other animals. The hostel Valle Colino, where he was transferred later to be healed, confirmed yesterday during which the dog had been used, in all probability, in at least one fight between dogs. From the outset, the animal has been medicated with antibiotics and it looks like it will recover to normal over the next few weeks.
Dailos Capote, one of the residents who found the dog, said yesterday that "this act shall not unpunished. " He and other neighbors involved, and have called for those responsible for Valle Colino a report that reveals the suffering that the animal has passed. "I was in shock, did not for biting, it just felt scared, scared," admitted this neighbor. "We know their owners and they should be responsible, we will go to court if necessary," he said.
Tres Local Police of Santa Cruz yesterday opened proceedings and submitted their report to the court. Although we could not locate the alleged offender, who is well known, by the statements of the neighbors, as well as his home.
