10 picturesque towns in Tenerife

TENERIFE MAGAZINE have just listed their 10 picturesque towns in Tenerife.

I must admit I don´t agree with all of them, although the photos shown do choose the best bits. There are some pretty spots in many towns but IMO it doesn´t make the 'town' picturesque. In fact I think Santiago del Teide is pretty much a nothing, La Laguna again in my opinion only has the old town which is very lovely the rest is an urban sprawl.

Some of my favourites are Candelaria, El Medano, Arafo and parts of Santa Cruz are gorgeous.

lOS Silos is great when the blessing of the animals is on.

Garachico, Masca and Vilaflor I can certainly agree with.

Me too and Candelaria, La Oratava, great places.

Its a shame they are all built on mountain sides or I would walk around them more.

Couple of nice little Canarian bars in Los Silos.

I went to one once near the new golf course and in his garden it was like a mini zoo, Lizards Parrots all sorts, marvelous place.

That church in Los Silos is a beauty.

I kind of know Jack who wrote the article he lives Puerto and I am surprised he didn´t include that in his list. There are some very nice parts around the town. Because of his location I assume that is why most of his choices are based in the north of the island. If I was doing it most of mine would probably be around the south.
