Review - Nancy Spain - Los Cristianos

I have been to this place several times now and each time the food is excellent. It is directly opposite the Sunday Market, but if you want to eat on an evening you have to book as it is really popular. They do a good vegetarian selection but if you phone a day before you want to eat and speak to the French chef she will do you something special.

Glad to hear this place is going so well in such a short time.

When I was last over they were just doing it out and unfortunately was not ready to open till I had left. I will try it when I return

Just read that Nancy Spain has closed and is being taken over by a new owner. Ayeaye who could that be then? I hope he made Darren and John an offer they couldn´t refuse, they have done a good job it was an excellent little restaurant and I hope the new owner can continue in the same vein. I am sure being Irish he will ayeaye, wink wink. Or is that just a bit of lateral thinking??

Hope he does well, nice bloke him. If that is who has it. Great entertainer too, certainly will get a visit from me.

I've no idea who now has it, I know he was after a bar, he has Irish connections and would make a great success of it but that is just me starting a Tenerife rumour - they gotta start somewhere and at least it is a nice rumour not the usual kind.

He is on FB but nothing on his page as I have checked.

I know some people after a new bar too, may be them, I will text and ask.

Not at all - ayeaye has Irish connections he used to have a bar in Tenerife, last time I spoke to him he was still looking for a bar in a good location, he knows Nancy's very well and I jumped to the conclusion that he had put in an offer. It would be wonderful if it was him because if anyone can make it buzz he can. But if it isn´t then back to the drawing board with my imaginings :sulk2:
