    (Dermo get your scuba gear on!). An Irishman is going to search a lake in Donegal where "Old" Tom Morris, ( 4 times Open championship winner in the late 1800s), hit about 20 gutta percha balls during a practice session. They are reckoned to be worth about £20,000 each now...

    Yet again the BBC only get the story half right. I played Rossapenna a few years ago. There is a tradition that if you hit a ball into the lake, it will bring you good luck when you go out playing. Here is a clip from RTE News. Cant imagine those gutta percha balls would still be in good shape after 120 years. They weren't fully waterproof.

    it would be great to find them but I said the same about them being waterproof
