Gay Marriage
What do you think about the new legislation to allow same sex marriages in church, I thought our Prime Minister was a christian ?, What doe's it say in the bible about man must not lay down with a man,I would look it up but i dont have a bible, Lets just change what it says in the bible as we go along, Just go's to show what a load of tosh that book is, and how many times has it been changed over the years to suit us or them, I dont mind what people get up to behind closed doors, i just dont want to hear or see it because i find it offensive, So 2 blokes get married and then have a son one way or another, What do you think that child will end up being ? Gay by any chance, The world has gone quite mad, Like i said i dont mind what people get up to, i just dont want it in my face (So to speak), Sorry i just like it,

Re: Gay Marriage
Erm sit on the fence with this one coz me and Mary are together.
It doesn't bother me but I do get a bit worried about the child thing.
I know people who have been refused adoption because not suited, when in everyones eyes they would make good parents(hetro), but they have a sister with neighbours who are gay, been together a year and a bit, have now been accepted through the adoption process. Afraid to refuse as seen as homophobic.

Re: Gay Marriage
Yeh, we all know somebody who is, and they are really nice people, That dosent make it right to change how things have been for centurys, What next ?, reduce the age of consent, 12 maybe, Be what you like, just dont try to change everybodys thoughts on something, Leave it alone,
I have noticed females dont mind gay men, and blokes dont mind gay women, got to be a reason for that ,
As usual i've said enough so i'm leaving it alone,

Re: Gay Marriage
Recall something in the news a bit back about a couple who owned a B & B who refused to let a gay couple stay because of their religious beliefs getting fined, but now the government that makes the law !!! now says the church can accept or decline gay rights ??????

Re: Gay Marriage
As Brighton is the gay capital of Europe and only 5 miles away, we live with Gay people as much as Reg lives near Asian people.
The fact is many are fabulous but some are very sickly. I have Gay friends as in the real Colette Curry being one of these, she is great.
I had a guy work for me years back and then when I changed jobs he came as a temp at my new job, he tried the homophobic hand at both places. We had a young lad who was allowed to wear womens clothes to work at our last place as he was having the change, very strange as everyone on egg shells.

I worked with one, he went on holiday as John and returned as Cathy. There was a bit of a hoo-ha about using the ladies loo, personally I couldn´t see why as the ladies are all cubicles so what is there to see. I did tell her once while standing at the wash basin to put her lipstick on AFTER going to the toilet - having been brought up as a man it was just one of the little things she had never come across. We got on well as she was an excellent worker and always hit her targets but I hated her awful taste in clothes (this seems to be something many have in common) always a bit OTT.

Re: Gay Marriage
A few guys saying nothing, Why because you cant win, Say its not right your homophobic, say its ok your as gay as them, you cant win, So they will sit on the fence, so any new laws just get passed and the people behind it will say nobody objected, same with the race thing, just reading this morning about how the UK has changed in the past 10 years, of course it has, nobody says anything for fear of being called racist, The world has gone mad, but more so in the UK, imagine a gay wedding in the church square in Los Christianos i dont think so,
I will repeat what i said, I dont care what people do at home, I just dont want to see a bit more of England going down the toilet just to please a few liberal people,

Re: Gay Marriage
I'm kinda with Reg on this. The world is forever pandering to the needs of the minority. Liberalism is the "in" thing and if you're a traditionalist, you're automatically classed as biased or homophobic or whatever. I don't think anyone has a choice whether they are gay or not but I certainly don't agree with their lifestyle. Whatever goes on where I can't see it, is fair game, just don't shove it in my face. It's true what Reg says, women seem to be far more accepting of homosexuality. Eileen has asked me before "what would I do if one of the boys turned out gay"? I said that I honestly don't know but I would feel destroyed. She can't understand that and I can't explain it to her. Men have stopped being men. They are now encouraged to "talk", have manbags, wear moisturiser etc. What happened the good old days when a bloke was a bloke?? When was the last time you saw a man holding a door open for a woman? The rate of suicide and depression in men has tripled in the last 50 years. Modern society is to blame. I can't say in public that I find homosexuality or religion ( or anything )repulsive. I'd automatically be arrested for inciting hatred. My opinion is being trampled on in an effort for governments to be seen to be liberal. The silent majority will remain just that.

While I don´t agree with a lot of it, that is a SUPERB post 3rd. As far as your son is concerned, he will always be your son no matter whether he is gay or not, whether he wears make up or a dress or struts his stuff in a macho way. Inside he will always be your little boy, that don´t change.

Re: Gay Marriage
Man bags , Well i'm not saying a word, Satchell maybe you can get away with at school, But a man needs to have a rucksack, Preferably a black one to leave in Taxi's because you can see the blady thing, Had mine a few years now, we have been through thick and thin together, also left it in the NEC with my deposit for my new camper van, Bomb scare ? , Nah lass put it under the counter, went back about 2 hours later when i realised i forgot the thing. So i cant ever see me parting with my lucky Rucksack

Put Reg in your manbag, he is lippy.
Your manbag looks like a satchell on you, purse to a regular size person.

Thanks Gypsy, Eileen thinks I'm a dinosaur with views like that but I am what I am. Of course, I'll support the kids no matter what, just don't expect me to be over the moon.

Re: Gay Marriage
You are both very right, we should accept people for what they are but we should stop it being made OK just because it is whatever year.
Drugs are OK now, yet having the odd piss up is scorned on. Its ok to be Gay and make it obvious, but if you go out and have a Hetro parade you would get nicked.
To be Gay and Macho is the in thing in Brighton. They all go to out do each other in Muscles.
Many of the tidy Gay people don't like it.
You can't be sexist to a male if you are a female but men get done for the smallest remark.
You can't call someone a N**ger but they can call you a Honky or paleface. My 2 closest Black friends would take me to hospital if I didn't treat them as ordinary people by having banter with them, they would want to know what they had done wrong.
