I don't see what all the fuss is about. Most of it is cheap crap. Saying that, some of those poorer people in Tenerife will welcome it as they'll be able to clothe their kids for a few Euros, which in this economic climate has to be good!

No problem with Primarni, giving people what they want a prices they can afford.
We'd all love an M&S locally but TBH it's the Primarni's that people actually need, mind have to say cant abide going in them its like a jumble sale bug have to admit there bedding it decent value as long as you get the better 'quality' stuff & and beach towels are cheap enough to just leave in resort !.

Its like a holding bay for a Jeremy Kyle show. STUFF for youngsters to knock around in is good though, you get Foster kids come to you with nowt or clothes 5 sizes too small you pop in there and grab some gear until you know if they are staying.

They are called "Penney's" in Ireland. Think they used to be called Primark, dunno why they changed. Where in Santa Cruz are they opening?

Re: Primark comes to Tenerife
The are supposedly opening in La Meridian Shopping Centre in the centre of Santa Cruz, (same street as the 'cockroach' but up a bit)
When they first came to GC in the days when I used to go on TF I wondered what the hell everyone was raving about as it was cheap crap. Just before we went to China this year I went with my daughter to the one in Guildford and I was really impressed I got a fab fashionably faded t-shirt for €1, a Ramones one for €3 and a pair of black leggins 50p. They are the size they say and they wash really well. (those euro signs are meant to be pounds but I have a Spanish keyboard!!)
