Have heard mixed reports about it Kev. Is it good? Going to bring eldest lad to it on the weekend.

Re: The Hobbitt
first 5 mins slow, you think :What?: Then it starts to get great and the sets/scenery is fantastic. The battles are good and characters superb. Golom is bril.

If you go to Cineworld book on line. Sign up get 10% off tickets. If you go a lot get a pass and still get 10 off.
How many people buy on line and before they click pay, open another screen up and check for a discount code.
You can save loads.
Got some flowers delivered to family via bunches, tapped in "bunches voucher codes" got 15% off plus free delivery and earned points which were enough to get another bunch for £3 with further use of discount code.

Might go and see it in 3D, lost interest in the last Lords film but watched it still.

Bored of the Rings was a great spoof! I think it's up in the loft somewhere in a box.

Re: The Hobbitt
Just back from The Hobbitt. Watched it in 3D as well. Imo, nowhere near as good as the Lord of the Rings films. VERY drawn out, especially the first 90 minutes. Peter Jackson mustn't have skipped a comma when adapting the book to a screenplay. I think the studio must have seen the opportunity to make a killing ( i.e. another trilogy) and have stretched the book out way too far. Acting performances were pretty average ( not bad) but I thought the guy playing the lead dwarf was excellent ( and Andy Serkis, yet again, was top drawer)

Re: The Hobbitt
That was my first time watching in 3D Cam, not worth it imo, its very good but not just quite there yet if you know what I mean. Eoghan, my eldest lad loved the film though. I very nearly fell asleep in the first hour though things picked up after that.

Re: The Hobbitt
Because I'm not 100% we cancelled our night out so Jim is thinking of going to see it this evening. It doesn't start until 10.15 and isn´t in 3D either.

Re: The Hobbitt
£d doesn't matter that much. Did Jim like the original Lord of the Rings films? If so, this is stilll enjoyable. I'm not saying anymore cos I don't want to spoil it for anyone else.

Re: The Hobbitt
He's still snoozing at the moment but from what I can gather from when he came home he thought it was brilliant. I told him before he went the first hour would be slow but he said he expected that as it was setting up the whole story.
He mumbled something about it being a series of films ......... sorry bit vague but then so is he.
