Put it this way ,a certain country won the world cup the year we got married , the reason we got married on xmas eve was that my land lady at the time decided that I needed a change of scenery and sent me of on an emergency posting so just in case anything happened we got hitched and if the worst came to be at least Val would have a wee pension to keep her going
