The infamous country depicted in "Blood Diamond" where I once lived also has a side that many forget to mention. :-)

I can´t think of a film that affected me as much as Blood Diamond and of course you are right - I for one don´t know anything good about Sierra Leone which of course cannot possibly be right.

I find it amazing that they had to film it in Mozambique. It would have
been nice for them to do it in SL and help provide some income for the
country.
If you had asked me many years ago if I wanted to live anywhere else, I
would have simply laughed it off because it really was like paradise.
The beach shown in the images is where I used to spend my weekends,
sometimes sleeping on the beach with a bonfire amongst friends, drinking
freshly picked coconuts and barbecuing fresh Barracuda.
The new president was my neighbour and was constantly inviting me over for a drink.
Sometimes the simple life is the happiest. :-)
