The sun was splitting the trees when she went out! She wouldn't want anything I tried to cook either...

Back to women drivers, Wednesday night Manchester was gridlocked, there was a crash on the M62 which shut it, City were playing at home and a muppet drove on to the tram lines bringing part of the system to a halt, now why am I worried about this, well,,, Wednesday was the day Annie's dad got transferred to the care home plus it was the pool Knockout Cup final, plan was Annie's picking up her sister, both go to care home to see their dad, Annie escapes about 18:45 to take me to the pool match them heads back to care home to see her dad again and take her sister home, oh, Annie's house, care home and my local sorta make a two mile triangle if you get what I mean so in a car it's only a few minutes to get between them, Annie's sister lives out of town, about a half hour in a cor in good traffic...

About half five my phone goes, it's Annie, says she's stuck in traffic about three miles from the care home and traffics just not moving, advises I get a tram to the pool as she ain't going to be able to take me,,, I head out at half six to get the tram, there's a lot of people at the tram stop, I think that's unusual, but there is a match on,,, I make to get a ticket from the machine, guy says to me "I wouldn't bother mate I've been waiting 45 minutes", I say trams are meant to be every 12 minutes, just as I say it an announcement comes over the tannoy system saying there's a car on the line, no trams,,, so I head for bus, bus journey wasn't to bad as I was heading in to town whereas most of gridlocked traffic was heading out, anyway it took Annie a hour and a half to do the three miles... Plus by the time she got her sister home and back in to town it was about 10:45, so she came straight to the pub and picked me up, good timing it was.......
So next day I take a look on the Internet to see what had been going on, Annie's with me as were serching for info, came across article below:-

Now your probably wondering what's this got to do with women drivers, well what I'll say is Annie ain't the best of drivers, no I'll rephrase that, she's feckin shite,,, now if you look at the foot of the article there a "Gallery" of people who have driven on to the tram lines, I point this out to Annie saying this seems to be a common problem look at these pictutes, Oh she pipes up "I wonder if they've got one of me when I done it"...



Would seem it was one of her kids birthdays, had taken them it to town for a meal, had just left the resturant to head home, next thing she says there a guy in front of her in a yellow vest indicating to her to stop, she don't know if this guy worked for the tram company or was just a passer by with a hi vis vest on but the guy ecplains to her she is driving down a tram only section of road,,, so she starts to reverse back up the track, now she ain't good at reversing so decides to do a three point, of four, or more like possibly five or six point turn,,, next thing kids are screaming, there's a tram approaching,,, she says the tram came to a gentle stop just a few feet in front of her, tram driver sitting in his cab shaking his head looking down at her making a complete pigs ear of her three point turn, turn completed she says the tram followed her slowly up the line untill she rejoined the road... 

She says a fair crowd had gathered to view her cock up so she was surprised to see her picture was not in the gallery,,, wish it had been............

Women drivers...pfftttt!
